We include stories about the Natchez City Cemetery, history of some of the people buried here as well as some odds and ends we found interesting.

The picture to the right is the plot of Captain Thomas P. Leathers’ family. Captain Leathers, who lived in Natchez, was Captain of the steamboat Natchez, which participated in the famous steamboat race against the Robert E. Lee.

Leathers’ family plot is conveniently located on Steamboat Lane.
