The Historic Natchez City Cemetery will present the fourth annual Angels on the Bluff cemetery tour over a three-day period beginning Friday, October 24. The overwhelming success of the previous years has resulted in a greatly expanded program.
The traditional night tours will be conducted at the cemetery on Friday and Saturday nights, October 24 & 25, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. A third performance has been added for the convenience of those who prefer an indoor-seated venue. It will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday October 26 at the Natchez City Auditorium. There will be no night performance on Sunday.
Tickets for all performances should be purchased in advance at the Natchez Visitor Reception Center.
There will be no parking at the cemetery for the evening tours. Free shuttle service from the Natchez Visitors Center will be provided. Plan to board the shuttle 30-minutes prior to the time of your tour.
The tour will highlight new and exciting characters, including Simon Mayer, Christian Schwartz, Percy Quinn (through the eyes of his wife Aylett), Jennie Merrill, Duncan Minor, Charles West, Date Schwartz, Margaret Stewart, Marshall Guerney, and Rufus Learned. Several presentations will feature music. |
